When I first saw this unfinished basement, I knew it had so much potential. The homeowner wanted to turn it into a rental, but also needed to keep space for storage, a small gym, and access to the furnace and electrical.
We had to be smart with the layout—making sure it felt like a real home, not just a basement suite. We added two bedrooms, a full kitchen, laundry, and a bathroom, while still keeping the areas she needed for herself.
The finishes are clean and modern, but still warm. I wanted it to feel welcoming, functional, and easy to live in—for both the homeowner and future tenants.
Now it’s not just an income property—it’s a fully finished space with purpose, comfort, and flexibility built right in.
