When I first stepped into this Barrie bungalow, it was an empty investment property waiting for purpose. The goal was clear—transform it into a short-term rental that felt warm, inviting, and memorable. I focused on creating a design that felt both effortless and intentional, with a layout that flowed naturally from room to room.
The concept centered around comfort and calm, using soft textures, warm lighting, and a palette grounded in neutrals and muted blues. The blue accent wall in the living room added depth and visual interest, while earthy tones and layered textiles brought coziness into each bedroom. It was important that the colours worked together to evoke a sense of rest and relaxation.
Rather than over-styling, I let the space speak. We introduced purposeful furniture, light wood finishes, and just enough contrast to give the home character without overwhelming it. Now, every room feels like it belongs—ready to welcome guests with warmth, simplicity, and a touch of charm.
